Ingredients
1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
3 cups basmati rice
2 cups water
2 cups milk
1 cup yogurt
1 cup cream
1/2 cup ghee
1 onion, thinly sliced
3-4 green chilies, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
A few saffron strands (optional)
Cashew nuts and raisins, for garnishing

Instructions
Wash and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes. Drain the water and keep the rice aside.Heat ghee in a large pot or a deep pan. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add thinly sliced onions and chopped green chilies. Fry till the onions turn golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and saute till the raw smell disappears.
Add chicken pieces and fry for 5-7 minutes until the chicken changes color.
Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few more minutes.
Add milk, yogurt, and cream. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes till the chicken is cooked through.
In a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add soaked rice, salt, and saffron strands. Cook till the rice is 90% done.
Layer the cooked rice on top of the chicken mixture. Cover the pot and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes till the rice is fully cooked.
Serve the Chicken White Biryani hot and enjoy the delicious flavors of the creamy white sauce and aromatic spices!
