Paneer bhurji is a popular North Indian dish made with crumbled paneer (cottage cheese) that has been spiced with a blend of aromatic spices and cooked with onions, tomatoes, and green chilies. Ingredients:
200g Paneer (cottage cheese), crumbled
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
1 Onion, finely chopped
1 Green chilli, finely chopped
1 Tomato, finely chopped
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
Instructions:
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it. Let the seeds crackle.
Add chopped onion and green chilli to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes till the onions turn translucent.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes till the tomatoes become soft.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add crumbled paneer to the pan and mix well with the onion and tomato mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes till the paneer is cooked.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chapati, naan or bread
