fruit Custard ( Classic, Raspberry & chocolate )

Fruit custard is a dessert that typically consists of a creamy, sweet custard base combined with fresh or canned fruit. The custard is usually made with milk, sugar, eggs, and cornstarch or flour to thicken it, resulting in a smooth, pudding-like texture. Vanilla extract or other flavorings can be added for extra taste.

 Classic fruit Custard

Ingredients

1 liter milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup custard powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 cups mixed fruits (such as bananas, apples, grapes, strawberries, kiwis, etc.)
1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and pistachios)

Instructions

In a pan, heat 1 liter of milk over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
In a separate bowl, mix 1/4 cup of custard powder with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of milk to form a smooth paste.
Once the milk has boiled, turn off the heat and add the custard mixture to the pan. Stir constantly to avoid lumps.
Turn on the heat again and continue stirring until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
Remove the pan from the heat and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence. Mix well and let the custard cool down.
Once the custard has cooled down, add 2 cups of mixed fruits and 1/4 cup of chopped nuts. Mix well.
Transfer the fruit custard to a serving dish and refrigerate for at least an hour.

2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped fruit (such as strawberries, bananas, or raspberries)
1/2 cup chopped chocolate or chocolate chips

In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks together until light and fluffy.
Slowly pour about 1 cup of the hot milk mixture into the egg yolks, whisking constantly to prevent the eggs from scrambling.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the custard into a large bowl and stir in the chopped fruit and chocolate.

Chill the custard in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
