Italian Origin Pizza

Pizza, dish of Italian origin consisting of a flattened disk of bread dough topped with some combination of olive oil, oregano, tomato, olives, mozzarella or other cheese, and many other ingredients, baked quickly—usually, in a commercial setting, using a wood-fired oven heated to a very high temperature—and served hot

Ingredients

.450 gm pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
.1/2 cup tomato sauce
.2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
.1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
.1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
.1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
.1/4 teaspoon salt
.Toppings of your choice (such as sliced mushrooms, sliced bell peppers, sliced onions, sliced olives, cooked sausage or bacon, etc.)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). If using a pizza stone, preheat the stone in the oven for at least 30 minutes.
Lightly dust a flat surface with flour and roll out the pizza dough into a circle, about 12-14 inches in diameter.
Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edge.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated parmesan cheese evenly over the sauce.
Add your desired toppings on top of the cheese.
In a small bowl, mix together the dried oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Sprinkle the mixture over the pizza.
Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or a baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Enjoy your delicious homemade pizza!
