Creamy Shrimp Pasta


Creamy shrimp pasta is a delightful dish that combines succulent shrimp with a rich and velvety sauce, tossed with perfectly cooked pasta. This dish is known for its creamy texture and the delicate flavors of the shrimp, garlic, and Parmesan cheese. To create the creamy sauce, butter and minced garlic are sautéed in a skillet to release their aromas. The shrimp is then added and cooked until it turns pink and opaque, infusing the dish with its delicious seafood essence. After removing the shrimp, heavy cream is poured into the skillet and simmered until it thickens slightly. Grated Parmesan cheese is gradually added to the cream, creating a luscious sauce that coats the pasta and shrimp.

Ingredients

.225gm linguine or spaghetti
.1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
.2 tablespoons butter
.3 cloves garlic, minced
.1 cup heavy cream
.1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
.1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
.Salt and pepper to taste
.Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Instructions

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set them aside.

Reduce the heat to low and pour the heavy cream into the skillet. Stir well and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes until it slightly thickens.

Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the cream, stirring continuously until it melts and combines to create a creamy sauce. If desired, add a pinch of salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes for additional flavor.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss them in the sauce to coat evenly. Let them heat through for another minute.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss it with the creamy shrimp sauce until well coated.

Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the pasta and shrimp and give it a final toss.

Serve the creamy shrimp pasta immediately while it's still hot. You can garnish it with additional Parmesan cheese and parsley, if desired.
